I am going to buy the Peter Sellers film 2 way stretch the region 2 dvd is in 4:3 but the R1 is in 16:9 can anyone tell me if the R1 is just a cropped version of the 4:3 R2 as i would assume that the R2 would be in 16:9 allso.

I am not entirely sure with this one. I have seen the film a number of times in 4:3 and it didnt look as though anything was missing at the edges. Theres a possibilty it was shot in academy ratio and someone has decided to mask the top and bottom to encourage folk with widescreen TVs to buy.

Hard one this you could by the 16:9 version and end up with less picture than the 4:3. Thanks for your reply mcmullanbrush.
