sorry if this is obvious - but i've seen this question asked loads but can't find an answer.

i want to be able to dowload to my ipod from my home pc and my work pc.

can this be done? surely you just load itunes onto each pc and then make import tunes manually?

if it can be done, can someone please set out (in simple terms) how you do this. every time i ask someone i know they tell me the second pc will delete all your tracks. must be a way around it?

    thanks

    Thats correct.

I have just installed I-Tunes on my new PC at work. And have had no problems running it at home or work.

many thanks - but how do i get a chance to do this before it wipes the ipod?

when i look at preferences on the itunes loaded on my work pc there is no ipod listed (so i can't disable the auto update) - my concern is that as soon as i connect the ipod it will wipe it before i get a chance to switch to manual.

how do i get round this or am i talking cr*p?

    thanks guys

when you first connect your ipod it brings up a setup wizard, thats what mine did yesterday when i installed itunes on my PC at work.

Then i copyed some MP3 from my PC and then took it home. Hooked my ipod up to my home pc and everything was still there.
