Two Fans one CPU Socket Problem

    Hi I am just fishing off my computer build and have decided to put in a better cooler than the one supplied with the the cpu So I brought the Prolima megahalems Rev.B so iam now going to fit two fans to it but can only find one cpu Fan socket. So how do i get round this is there a adaptor I can buy thai can run both fans from the one socket

    Yes There are lots of splitter cable out there but the RPM of the fans may drop. best to have the push fan on the CPU socket & the pull on one of the fan headers

    Thanks for that Walrustitty Now here come my silly Q how do you tell which is the push and which is the pull Fan is it having one fan one way and the other the other way and how tell which one is pushing and which one is pulling Thanks once again

    The edge of the fans housing normally has an arrow moulded in to it to show the air direction

    The open end draws in the air so put that one towards the front of your case and the 2nd fan should have the bar where the motor wires are facing outside toward the back exhaust fans

    So the first one if I have this right I put on the cpu Cooler i have the blades facing outwards with the arrow on the fan casing pointing inwards to the cpu cooler and on the other side of the cooler the other fan on that side i have the blades facing inwards but the arrow on the casing facing away from the cooler Is that correct

    Yeah that it.
    connect the first one to to CPU fan socket & the second to any fan socket you can control the fan speed in the Bios (ie Cool & quiet to 100%) if your Gaming or Overclocking but for General loads the factory Motherboard setting will be OK
