What a idiot...

Airport twidiot gets banged up - The Inquirer

Chambers had been due to fly to Ireland from Robin Hood Airport but discovered that it was closed due to snow. Choosing to ignore current social conventions, Chambers promptly tweeted the following message, "You've got a week and a bit to get your **** together, otherwise I'm blowing the airport sky high!!"
It seems that one of his followers did not have the same sense of humour as Paul, however, as they were so shocked that they rang up the plod. The result? A few days later the coppers showed up at his office and promptly felt his collar under the Terrorism Act.

Does he deserve what happens to him
or
Is the law on terrorism being taken a little to far

Must not laugh....:D

He's had his Iphone, Laptop and pc removed and is due in court next month. And I can only imagine having his passport taken as well.

I remember reading a story a while back. About a guy that sent a text to his friend saying something about 'killing the president'. A few days later the FBI came knocking on his door. They found out it was a lyric from a song which had come up in a pub quiz.

Don't forget Giles Coren's tweets the other day. Another one who hadn't quite "thought it through" (couldn't resist linking the Mails coverage :D)

Giles Coren's Twitter sex death rant over 12-year-old drumming neighbour | Mail Online

Restaurant critic and broadcaster Giles Coren has been condemned for posting violent comments on Twitter about his neighbour's 12-year-old son.

The columnist, who is the son of humourist Alan Coren, vented his anger on the social micro-blogging site by suggesting the boy should be sexually assaulted and killed.

Coren, 40, tweeted from his home in north London, saying: 'Next door have brought their 12-year-old son a drum kit.

'For ****'s sake! Do I kill him then burn it? Or do I **** him, then kill him then burn it?'

He then followed this up with: 'Child for sale, charred and partially ****ed. Has own drum kit.'

Later he posted a slight retraction, but not before his friends had added encouraging comments suggesting what to do to silence the neighbour's budding musical talent.

He added yesterday: 'oh hells' bells. look, can i just say i didn't kill the kid, or have sex with him. and anyway he's not real. and i live in Vienna.'

Asked whether he made the postings, Mr Coren replied: 'Yes, but I don't want to say anything about it.'

Last night, he admitted on Twitter, 'this tigger has lost his bounce' and said it was due to 'backfiring twitter jokes'.

He claimed his was in 'the doghouse' with his neighbour and added this morning that they were 'very unhappy'.

Total over-reaction by police.

And the person who reported it - what a total knob!

I assume they will also be arresting Ricky Gervais, Eddie Izzard, Frank Skinner and every other comedian who has made a joke about terrorism.

Of course, the normal modus operandi of terrorists is to post on twitter about their impending attack.

This country is utterly screwed.

Agreed a slap on the wrist would be more then enough.

You should read some of the comments:suicide:
