Question Twin tuners - how useful?

I notice some TVs have twin tuners, and some don't.

I appreciate that if you do have twin tuners, you can record a programme to a USB device while you're watching something else.

But how useful is this in practice? Is this a good way to record programmes?

Think you've answered your own query with your statement "I appreciate" and so on.

I can see I did not make myself clear.

What I meant to ask was whether recording - and then watching - from a USB device was a good way of watching recorded content, or whether it has limitations?

All our TV viewing goes through the BT box so twin tuners aren't really much good for us.
