Looks promising, I've been waiting for these to come out. Nothing on the manufacturers' websites though and all the sites carrying info are in German. Wait ages for one and two come along at once!

    TerraTec Cinergy 2400i DT, 2x DVB-T, PCIe x1
    http://geizhals.at/a163940.html

and the Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-T-500, which may or not be this card: http://www.wcm.at/story.php?id=8551

But in the descriptions on websites it contains the phrase "Eine Doppeltuner-DVB-T-PCI-Karte", which my limited german can translate!

There are also dual/hybrid tuners with both a digital/analouge tuner on one card, they seem to have FM as standard too. Suppose it may be useful for those that move regularly between digital and non digital areas e.g. students. These cards seem to be availible in every conceivable form factor too, USB ,PCI (not sure about pci-e) and PCMCIA.

Are these available in the UK? I take it they could be used externally also, may be a good solution to the problems I am having with the Avermedia USB DVB-T, and give me a second tuner!

Not sure if this is the best place to ask this question....but can anyone confirm if the Terratec 2400i with PCIe will work in the Hush MCE M-Series. The spec for this Hush model states that it has a single PCI slot over riserCard, but I don't know what this means or if the 2400i would fit.

Don't have an m-series, but as the spec states it has a single PCI slot over riserCard it won't work as PCI is not the same as PCI express. The one above may be more suitable, the one with the USB port...But...are you sure that PCI slot is not already in use for the TV tuner that is currently in there?

That's unfortunate - I was hoping to replace the single dvb-t card in the hush m-series with this dual one as there is only one pci.

Don't give up on it yet....The Terratec one is PCI-E, but the Hauppauge one and the one listed before are supposed to be PCI based.....I think they are all due in November....

I pre-ordered the Terratec one yesterday because i want a use for my PCI-E slot ;-)

    Will the Terratech PCI-E card (a PCI-E 1x slot card) work happily in a 16x PCI-E slot?

Reason being my mobo has built in graphics which works very well, so I don't use the 16x PCI E slot. If I could put on of these dual tuner cards in it that'd be excellent and give MCE 3 tuners to play with.

(If we're all recording of multiple channels at once, how are we going to find the time to watch everything? :) )

Isn't there a hack for a three tuner setup? I haven't got the dual-tuner card yet, expected 7/11, but will give it a go to try....

Interesting. It's certainly wort a try.
I also have a vague recollection that x1 will work in a x16 slot also; the difference between the 2 is the number of lanes (1 V's 16 funnily enough) is different. Hopefully mine will arrive on the 8th Nov

yes there is, i was wondering that myself, with the hack would it be possible to use two terratec dual tuners, one in PCI-E X1 slot and one in PCI-E X16, so you have 4 tuners...would be great in that Hiper Media Chasis..

Hiper Media Chassis only supports one PCI/PCI-E card.

i though it supports two PCI or one PCI and one AGP or one PCI-E x 16 and one PCI, there must be some way of adding a PCI - E x 16 and PCI - E X1, since they are both next to eachother just like an AGP and PCI..

I can't find one thing good on tv...let alone 3 at the same time...whilst watching something else you recorded the night before!!

Anyway.... are these twin cards supported by XPMCE?

Very true ;-) But in those rare occassions that there is something worthwhile watching it is all at once, so I think there will be a use....

As nobody has got these cards we do not know for certain...But they are marketed as fully supported by MCE2K5...So they better be ;-)
