Hi all! I've got a Wharfedale diamond 9.1 + sw150 2.1 system with sony strdh550. I was absolutely happy with them so far. Few days ago I was listening music on reasonable volume, out of sudden started to hear some distortion from one speaker's tweeter. Is it possible that I killed my tweeter? Can be a soldering fault? ( Checked inside that tweeter soldering maybe not 100'/'). Many thanks for any suggestions and help.
If buying a new speaker which one would you go
Wharfedale diamond 230
Tannoy Eclipse three
Monitor audio mr4
Budget is limited for these!

The picture is about the actual tweeter

could be your amp!
swap the speakers, and check to see if the problem is still on that speaker.

Thanks. Already did.problem still on that speaker. Connections checked as well.

If it is the odd crackling, it could be the wiring, or a capacitor in the crossover circuit.
If not the wiring, check the capacitors that feed the tweeter.
If it is a constant distortion, then it could be the tweeter I am afraid.
would need replacing.
Wilmslow audio comes to mind.

Hi! Problem sorted! It was a bad soldering on tweeter cable. Now sounds as it should! Thanks for advice!
