hello.really was not sure where to post this question. my eldest son (nearly 2) decided it would fun to poke my tweeter domes while i was cooking the breakfast. they are now poked in so much they are beyond repair. just wondering as i dont seem to have noticed any difference in sound quality or direction how important are the domes? been trying to look around for some schematics of tweeter constructions but have not really had much luck. my speakers dont have covers and they are not overly expensive(part of a panasonic home theatre kit) my question is really could i possibly scalpel around the edge of the dome,re-shape it and then stick it back?or would this really wreck them? or could i just simply cut the domes off and leave them exposed?
