Read in another forum a post regarding Component / RGB signal input on a standard CRT television. The post said that one can only control Brightness and Contrast information of a Component / RGB signal, is this in fact the case?

    many thanks for any info

    Hi,

As far as I know, Brightness and contrast can be controled with the two different signal but saturation of colour is controlled only with the component one.

Nethertheless, when a RGB signal is transmitted to a TV set, it is automatiquely converted (by the TV) into component one (the two signals are very similar), for the user to be able to control saturation of colours, and then re-converted to RGB.

So, either with RGB or Component, you can control brightness, contrast and colours :D .

    Hope it helps.

    Bye.
