TVDrive becomes V+ Box

I've just got the leaflet through the door.
The big thing for me is that the broadband prices have not changed. They have renamed the products to Broadband Size M, L and XL but no speeds are mentioned in the literature. Surely they will be upping the speeds as 10meg @ £35 is not exactly great value any more.

Cheers for that, Kevin.

If i have an hour to spare over xmas i'll see if the price for my package has gone up or down. Or maybe i wont bother and wait to see :)

I didnt see a reference to telephone stuff. At the moment i'm forced to have a phone i dont want for the starter tv package. This rings twice a month with sales people.

The Broadband Speeds will be as follows:-

Broadband M = 4MB Download (currently 2MB) Upload 400KB
Broadband L = 10MB Download (currently 4MB) Upload 512KB
Broadband XL = 20MB Download (currently 10MB) Upload 1MB

Hope this helps cheer you all up. :D

Thanks. i think my post wasn't clear. I'll save money on the broadband to offset the pirce increase on the rest. For me that's starter TV plus full sports, which from memory has gone up 3 quid or so. The second box and tv drive prices are the same.

This was from a 30 second review of the document last night, so i could be wrong.

Anyone know when the 10mb BB will become 20mb?
There normally is a trial period before they go mainstream so im wondering if it will be before Feb

Cheers

Won't be before Feb..the latest price list still shows 10Mb as the fastest from 7th Feb.

I believe that they are (or have been) trialling 20Mb in the South East but no (official) word on roll-outs (if any).

The 20Mb trial has been and gone. Results weren't good considering the posts from NTL staff at NTL:hell!

If there is nothing before end of Jan I think I'll be getting a BT line installed and switching to Be. Its only a minimum 3 month contract with Be so I can always switch back once NTL:Telewest sort their broadband out!
