TV with ethernet control

Hello, quick question, I'm after a LED tv which can be controlled over it's ethernet port but can't seem to find any, ideally 22-28" any help much appreciated.

2010 model philips - and probably every other tv out there has a smartphone app.

Thanks, this is for a friend of mine, he basically wants to be able to link his IR sensors in the rooms to turn the tv off when no one is in them.
