And if a use a DVD player which has one input scart ? Would I loose some quality compared to connecting directly to the TV.

I'm after a DVD player and noticed the Pioneer 656-A has two scarts. Would this be a good solution ?

Hi i have a sony DVPNS 7000 ( i think thats right) dvd player and it has 2 scarts on it so i connect my Sky Digital through my DVD player and this gives me the option of which source to use .
with the dvd player it takes the lead turn off the dvd player and it allows Sky to use the RGB input i hope this helps

my pioneer 545 has a RGB pass-thru scart and I piggy back an RGB Gamecube signal through it to the TV with no noticable signal degradation.

I think it 's like the old good videos which had 2 scarts so that you could connect another device (like cable decoder or another video ) when old TV's had only one scart .
