On normal (analogue) TV, it is common to get other channels with poor or no picture, such as other ITV regions. These are from weker signals from other transmitters in your area. If you use a digital (Freeview) box and your signal is poor, you will get pixellation, break-up and other effects on the digital channels. It is worth getting a better aerial first. Once you get a good quality signal, then you should get an excellent picture from a card. (Nebula DigiTV is the best)
