TV takes ages to fire up AV amp.

I have Sky Q connected to a Denon AVRX540 and then a JVC TV. When I switch the TV on using the sky remote the TV comes on outputting sound and then a minute or two later the amp kicks in and then outputs the sound. All HDMI set to on, sky into the amp and the master cable from amp to TV. In a similar previous set up, with a Sony TV, the amp kicked in straight away, no sound from the TV, so am I doing something wrong or could it be the cables or something. Very frustrating having to wait for sound through the amp, any comments would be appreciated.

It's probably the way that the JVC establishes a start up handshake. Doubt if it's a problem with the Denon as it has previously performed better with the Sony. There is not a dedicated JVC owners' thread but I could move your question here if you wish.
