    if i have a toshiba 42" rear projection screen how advisable is it to place say a B&W centre speaker on the top of it?
    i dont want any bad outcomes from the magnets or whatever in the speakers
    can anyone advise please?

    The picture comes from a projector in the base, it isnt like a crt tube where putting magnets near the tube deflect the electrons inside the tube and spoil the picture.

    I can't think it would have any effect on your tv as long as you keep the speaker away from the base of the unit, and even there it is unlikely to be a problem
