    Hello all,

Due to problems with the onboard sound from a Toshiba 42ZV635D TV I have recently added a Toshiba mini 3D soundbar.
This is connected by an optical audio cable out from the TV to the speaker.
Generally I am very pleased with the improved sound.
However, if I pause TV playback I can hear what sounds like water trickling.
Also (particularly noticeable with Family Guy!) there is often a background noise, a little like wind blowing.

Having been unable to find a cause and more importantly a solution I am hoping for just that on these forums.
It is a new cable and I have checked the connections which are secure.
Any help/guidance would be most appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    H

    Hi,
After shuffling cables to bypass TV optical audio out it appears optical cable was faulty.
Have replaced cable and no more unwanted noise.
Thanks for all who contributed to the thread.
    Kind regards
    H
