With Sex & the City ended this TV season, it makes me wonder there have been a lot of shows that are gone and fans no doubt still miss them. Here are some shows that I still miss,

1. Beverly Hills 90210
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
3. Seinfeld
4. Xena: Warrior Princess
5. Hercules: the lengendary journies
6. The X-files
7. Ally McBeal
8. Dark Angel
9. Roswell
10. Walker Texas Ranger
11. Party of Five

What cancelled shows you missed the most?

My most missed show is probably Buffy, although it shouldn't be in a list of cancelled shows as it just finished, I am sure the networks would have loved more series of it.

I also do miss new episodes of the X-Files, but it went well past its sell by date anyway, should have finished at Season 7.

Also
DS9
Space Above and Beyond
Dark Angel
Roswell

And Angel (its not as good without Cordy), although I am still hopeful that UPN will pick it up like they did with Buffy.

The Outer Limits (The original)
The Invaders
The Prisoner
The Greatest American Hero (quite a few still to be shown, also was transmitted at different time across all the regions so never got the recognition in the UK as it deseved).
Babylon 5 (which ended with a plot still un-resolved).
Wrestling (the type introduced by Kent Walton).
The Avengers
And the type of programs that where produced by ITC? Like The Baron, The Saint, The Champions, Randall and Hopkirk(Deceased) etc which where fun.

The show was based on a film, but I'm not sure you'll enjoy it that much.

I saw the film when it was released at the cinema, and I quite liked it. But I'm not sure anyone else did. Donald Sutherland is in it, but it's not his best work...

Hi,

My list would have to include:

- War Of The Worlds (probably my first, true chance to see what good-quality, cable-TV style sci-fi can be like)

- The Prisoner (Just what the heck was going on?!)

- Early Edition (I so wish that someone would air this fantastic show properly, in the UK, after ITV ballsed-it-up as usual.)

- Millennium

- Dark Angel

- Farscape

- Joe 90

- Captain Scarlet And The Mysterons

- Dark Skies (If only it could have been given its full five-year arc!)

- Babylon 5

- Vengeance Unlimited (very short-lived US crime drama, where Michael Madsen of "Reservoir Dogs" fame played Mr Chapel, a man who would get revenge for you, and then he would ask you, one day in the future, for a favour of one kind or another! Wonderfully creepy! Was shown once on Channel 4, and hasn't been seen ever again on any UK TV stations!)

- Brimstone (Superb serial-killer/revenge TV show, with a lot of poignancy as well.)

- Crime Story (Michael Mann's 1987 crime show)

- Tour Of Duty

- Alien Nation: The Series

- Cracker (The best British crime show!)

I notice that nearly everyone is citing cult TV shows. It seems no one's going to miss "Eastenders" or "Big Brother" (if they ever end) or shows like "Inspector Morse", "Footballer's Wives" or "Shameless", for example.

I think that just shows how good American t.v series are compared to the British equivalent or lack of.
