In my spare room for the last two years I have had a "Bush 34BKD 3472NTX" TV that conked out on me.... The thing is I think there can't be a lot wrong with it... It's not dead, when I switch it on the standby light just flashes but no picture or sound. It went without any sort of warning, just switched it on one day... and... nothing.
So do any of you technical bods have any clues to whats wrong with it? Is it worth getting it fixed so I can sell it and get it out of my way...

if i were you i would take it to a tv repair work shop
    and get a free quote
it could be anything from £30-£150
but being a bush tv its likely to take time to find the faut as there maynot be a service manual for this model parts should be ok as bush any parts going cheap/end of the line
can't say what it is without seeing it i will have a look on my work shop pc 2mrow 11/05/04 ::cool:

I was told to take the back off and look where the power cable goes to and is most likely to be 630mA and easily obtained from any electronics supplier.
However, i've just had the back off, the power cable goes to the front of the tv to the on/off switch. It's too hard to see if there is a fuse there as it's a bit tight fitted and I don't want to unscrew the panel as my big hands and stubby fingers might not get it back in...
I've had a fell around on the board but nothing feels like a fuse...

best leave it to someone who knows what to look for
as you could get a shock from the big capacitor in the power circuitsnono: [dose not need it be plug-in for you to get a shock]
also it wont be a fuse as you said "standby light just flashes"
whitch meens power is in the tv but tv in safe mode.
