CBS has ordered six new series for the 2013-14 season, including the Robin Williams-Sarah Michelle Gellar comedy Crazy Ones and the Josh Holloway-Marg Helgenberger drama Intelligence.
Also getting a green light are Jerry Bruckheimer's conspiracy thriller Hostages and the sitcoms Mom (Anna Faris!), The Millers (Will Arnett!) and We Are Men (Monk!).

Among the noteworthy pilots not getting the go-ahead from CBS — at least now at the moment: Hart Hanson's Backstrom, adaptations of Beverly Hills Cop and Bad Teacher and a spin-off of NCIS: LA. (CBS's complete development slate can be found here.)

CBS is no longer in a CSI: NY state of mind. And it's leaving Vegas.
Sources confirm that the Eye Network has cancelled both shows.
Also put out to pasture: Longtime utility player Rules of Engagement and rookie cop drama Golden Boy. The decision to ax CSI: NY, which was widely expected, leaves just one CSI show — the still-kicking mothership — on CBS' air. The fate of freshman drama Vegas, meanwhile, was essentially sealed when CBS demoted it to Friday night.
Rules of Engagement will conclude its miraculous seven-year, 100-episode run on Monday, May 20.

ABC has officially renewed nearly a dozen shows for the 2013-14 TV season, including rookie drama Nashville and established hits Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Revenge, The Middle, Modern Family, Castle (for, contrary to rumors, one and not two more seasons) and Once Upon a Time.
Sophomore bubble comedies Suburgatory and Last Man Standing also have been picked up.
On the cancellation front, Malibu Country, Body of Proof, How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life), Red Widow and Happy Endings have been axed (full story on H.E.‘s demise here).
The fate of freshman sitcoms The Neighbors and Family Tools is TBD.

Sad to see CSI NY go to be honest, felt it was a bit darker and grittier than the others, however at least they finished it on what could be seen as a conclusion and a fairly decent one at that

I have yet to watch it. Got them all sitting waiting for me. Really looking forward to it. Hope they wrap it up sensibly now that it has been told its end of the road.

30 Rock - the best thing since Arrested Development. That is sad. Only have the DVDs up to S4 mind. Need to get around to topping up...
