I watch NTSC and PAL DVD's
I have seen a couple of different test DVD's to maximise picture and sound performance. Any recommendations ? Also do I need to buy a PAL or NTSC tester.

depending on how worried you are..... you might need PAL and NTSC, i have both.

What type of display? Tv? if so, probably avia is as good as anything for ntsc. See what you think then maybe consider dve PAL if you think it is necessary

Thanks, from looking at avia I managed to find 1 called DCE which sounds like an updated version of avia but with digital sound testing as well.
As I am planning to buy a new tv Toshiba 36ZP38 and a denon2900 dvd player and I want to get the most out of it.

    Cheers

Maybe you mean DVE: Digital Video Essentials ? I have ordered this as well from splash, waiting for it to arrive. I think most of the peoples thinks that AVIA is superior, but also more expensive.
