Hi, I bought a 4k Samsung TV from DC Digital in January. Roughly 4 weeks ago I started to get a thick white bar to the right of the panel, rendering it unwatchable. I contacted DC Digital as I have a five year guarantee on the tv that covers this kind of issue. I knew there was a risk buying this tv from DC Digital; however, I should have done more research beforehand rather than just take positive trustpilot reviews into consideration. After an exchange with DC Digital and explaining the issue with evidence, their “Samsung specialists” came to the conclusion this issue can only be caused by customer damage to the tv, and Therefore their guarantee does not cover this. In actuality the tv had not even been moved over the course of the 5 months after purchase and therefore the issue occurred organically. I purchased the tv using a credit card and I’ve raised this issue within 6 months of purchase. Does anyone have any information as to whether any laws or consumer rights could help me out here? I’ve also considered contacting Samsung to see what they say about it.
