TV Overheat?

Last night I was playing FIFA on my ps3 when my tv started to make some kind of buzzing sound. It then started fading from top to bottom until the whole tv went black. I felt the tv and it was hot and had a burnt smell coming off it I switched it off at the wall and left it overnight, this morning I plugged it back in and the screen is still black.

Does this mean my tv has overheated. If so, how much is the repair for a 32 inch LCD tv?

Hi Adam

Er, Yeah - that sounds terminal. But you need to know what part of the TV has blown - could be the video board, the panel or (unlikely) the power board. That will determine the cost of repair.

Engineer's visit required on that one!
