    Hello all!

Recently took the plunge and upgraded (from a lovely trader on here) from a 8 year old Samsung 48" LCD 1080p screen to a lovely Samsung 55" QLED 4K 10-bit TV (Q6F) and am blown away by the difference that I am going to keep this one in the formal sitting room and purchase a second one for the causal room but would opt for the 65" version.

Audio wise I would have the our Lovely looking Bang & Olufsen Beocenter 4000, Beogram CD x and Beovox X25 speakers in the formal room somewhere and I don't mind having a sound bar for the TV as I would mainly use the other room.

The problem is nearly every room in the house has a fireplace being old (around 400 years old). Does anyone have any experience with stands that fold down over the fireplace/mantle while the fire is not lit? Photos would be great!

'looks like they might be a little expensive but will have a look around' - there are alternatives but don't expect them to be budget priced.

How far out does the mantle extend?

    Hi Joe,

The place I would like it fitted for now is about 4” but the other one is around 8”. Initially I would only want the 4” one as I’m redecorating the other room.
