hi all have denon 3802 +toshiba dvd player + toshiba 28" widescreen tv ,the tv has inbuilt l/r and center spreaker,

and has 2 additional speakers for surround sound effects, the tvs inbuilt decoding is i believe just bog standard old dolby type decoding,

i have a full set up of fronts/center /rears and sub to use with my 3802 but find this takes up lots of space.

i am not sure if this is possible but would like to try to use dvd+3802 but somehow link this to tv and use the just the tvs (5 speakers) but be able to use the 3802 dd/dts decoding abilities with dvds but output from tv speakers in dd/dts sound format.

    thank you

I wouldn't have thought this would be possible unless your tv has individual external inputs for Left, Right & Centre Audio. Otherwise your Amp won't know where to send each channel will it?
