I have a problem with my tv guide back ground when ever i put the tv guide or the planner on i have a new background instead of the regular blue, its a scren shot of the superbowl from sunday night, now at first i thought looks kind a cool but now its getting on my nerves have tried turnin the box off but its still there.

Will it just dissapear or is there something i can do to get rid of it

I have an original thomson hd box with the component sockets on the back

    :lease:

A simple planner Re-Build will fix this kind of glitch almost without fail.

You need to access a hidden engineer’s menu.

DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR SCREEN as it will not appear to follow what you input.

    Press Services – 4 – 0 - 1 – Select

Now you can look at the screen……………….choose option 7

Box will go to “Housekeeping” and shut down.

Leave it for 5 minutes then switch on shout YIPEE! when your problem is fixed.

A re-build-a-week keeps your box at it’s peak!

Hmmm. Try forcing an firmware update (google is your friend) and see if that makes it boot correctly or worst ways access the ENGINEERS MENU (Click SERVICES, 4, 0, 1, SELECT) and a new menu presents itself with the ability to reset your box back to default (note that you do so at your own risk)

    Best of luck.
