I recently got given a TV. Its a Panasonic, quite a few years old but still a nice big TV.

It doesn;t have scart lead connection it has the red, yellow and white audio leads. This works fine when using red, yellow and white audio leads both ends from my DVD player.

But my NTL digi box only has a scart connection so I got a Scart to audio lead but this doesn;t work.

Someone said to me it could be because of the signal difference in USA (PAL / NTSC?) and I might need to get a converter.

Can anyone confirm the problem for me.

    Many thanks

Please state the make and model number of both your TV and your NTL box.

Then we try to ascertain whether either the TV can be set to PAL compatible or the NTL box set to give an NTSC output.

Hello Leano and welcome to the Forum. :)

If it's an American TV then you've got all manner of problems trying to operate it in the UK.

Any (or all) of these possibilities are relevant:

    Needs 110 volt 60Hz mains.

Works on 525 lines, 60 fields.

    Uses NTSC colour (color!) system.

    No Scart sockets.

    No Teletext.

    In other words: :suicide:

Sorry I can't be more optimistic.
