My boss wants a new TV and is looking at spending about £1400, he is not sure what he wants - originally a plasma - but cheap ones are not nice.

So what would you recommend for £1400 - preferable integrated digital.

Flat panel would be nice - we already have a £700 32" answer if it comes to it

Advert in todays (Thurs) Independent for Richer sounds current offer. IIRC, Panasonic PW37, tuner box, SCART connection thingy and a panasonic home theatre kit (valued at £500 by RS) all for £1399. Seemed quite a good deal (but Im sure others will disagree ;) ) if you can actually find it instore.

EDIT: Don't recall there being a stand or wall mount in the package though (the extra pound should be good for a tube of 'no more nails' though ;) ).

for a simple solution..................has to be a Veira style plasma TV (37" hitachi exclusive to DSG but may find good deal on outgoing model) so its a bargain trawl whats the TH-37PE30 and PE50 price??? (get a JL price match for 5 year warranty) ideal really or 32"/37" LCD Sharp GA5 etc try pricerunner etc if they want BIG then the LG PX11 at £1300 has to be worth a demo.....(new firmware only tho) PS do you like your boss? TINY do a cracking deal on a 42"plasma!!!!!! ;)

Sorry not to reply to before but search is broken!

    The 37" sounds quite good

I have worked for him for a long time!

One of our customers has a load of plasmas in his house (I haven't seen them) and I think this and the fact he rents his TV have pushed it
