    Hi,

Firstly let me say I'm new to HTPC.

I'm wanting to connect my Sky box to my PC. I've already got the the graphics card connected to the TV (PW6 Plasma) via VGA, so DVD watching is sorted.

I've heard that some cards are better quality than others, however if I have no interest in Recording Sky does the card make any differance still. Guess I'm looking for more of a pass through, just to get a quality picture on the screen.

Obviously I could just connect the Sky to the TV directly, but I'm keen on getting my PC involved and learning more on the subject.

    I'm using MCE 2005

If you can afford the budget you may wish to take a look at the Sweetspot capture card. This gives an excellent picture.
