This is probably not the most appropriate forum for this but _

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy a web cam type cam that connects direct to the TV?

I never really see the point of karoke machines when all you need is a cam connected to a TV and CD player!

    It is almost christmas..please help!!

You need the Karaoke machine so that the words light up at the right point when the backing track plays surely?! How does a camera achieve this? What's the camera for?!?!

Hey the kids already know the words to their favs - most of these karoke machines have music that is well out of date - i mean what 8 year old wants to sing "we will rock you...."!!!

She sings all the time in the mirror...shed luv to sing watching herself on the tv as most kids would!

My digital camera a DV2 will do webcam work, and connect to PC, as well as doing stanard digital camera duties and doing short digital videos. Bought it from firebox.com for about £80 around 9 months ago.

It's pretty fun. I mainly iuse it as a webcam, it has a superb picture, and also occasionally as a digital camera like it was intended.

A cheap colour CCTV camera is another option if it's just for that use.

Plenty around for pennies (relatively speaking).
