    Hi Everyone,

I was looking for a bit of advice really, I have just moved my tv and found the existing co-ax aerial now doesnt reach.

I bought a gold plated co-ax aerial extension cable which has a male connection on both ends.

I might be being stupid by my existing coax cable wont fit on to this extension as that also has to two male connections? surely one should have a female connection so I can join them up? I am currently using and old black short cable with female and male connectors.

Is it also better to have the gold connection in to the back of the tv or in to the wall socket?

The gold connection is a waste of money. That's why TV aerial sockets are not gold plated.
