Anyone using a 512KB L2 cache PIII Tualatin or know whether it's supported, please?

ASUS site documentation gives conflicting info.

I've got a TUSL2-C. I sent a email to Asus a while ago, they said it doesn't support the 512K versions.

I have the 256K CPU in mine.

Is your PIII a Tualatin, though? That's really the crucial point. There are older PIII's with 512KB L2 all the way up from 450MHz to the 600B (albeit half-speed 512KB L2).

I'm dubious about it. ASUS Germany says it supports even the 1.4GHz PIII! I'd really like to hear from someone who's tried.

    Jeff? Anyone?

    Brilliant!!

I thought so but then suddenly got worried about it. I bought a 1.26 512 Tualatin on eBay specifically for a TUSL2-C to build my new HTPC this w/e.

Started panicking I had dropped one in the feverish excitement.................silly old me.

Well I just built a new workstation with an asus P4G8X deluxe in it and so far (today) its been a breeze: had more problems with the case to be honest. Will take the fastest current P4s and beyond and supports hyperthreading ( serial ata , x8 agp , gigabit lan , firewire, usb2 , dual ram addressing thingy.

    Quite pricey though.
