I have an Onkyo HT-3505 av receiver and I am looking for a compatable turntable around £350 mark.
In my Onkyo manual it says " Connect a turntable (MM) that has a phono preamp built-in. If your turntable (MM) doesn’t have it, you’ll need a commercially available phono preamp. If your turntable has a moving coil (MC) type cartridge, you’ll need a commercially available MC head amp or MC transformer as well as a phono preamp"
Can anyone suggest a turntable etc

    Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks. Is it worth paying the extra for the Carbon X pression?

I accidentally replied before finished .

    ..... like,
Project Debut Carbon Phono USB Turntable | Vickers HiFi £399.

Above budget but not many good TT with inbuilt preamp available as much as there use to be when you past certain price point but close to your budget.
Obviously there are other options, as much and cheaper too, but the above sets the benchmark for entry level TTs

No. Not unless you 'upgrade' the current setup.
Even with the suggested TTs, it won't extract the best from them but are more suitable pairings. In terms of sound quality, the TTs will be the strongest link in your setup chain so they will bold well with future amplifier/speaker upgrade as they will be playing catchup from the moment a TT is connected.
