ive two questions here and I’m sure they are very simply answered
Is there an advantage to turning off voicemail and if so what is it?

The second question is to do with the actual process. Each provider seems to offer a way to switch on and off e.g. my provider Tesco dial 2915 for off 2905 for on. However, I see that you can turn voicemail off on the iPhone by dialling ##002#. What’s the difference or are we talking about two different things ?

Well I think you can answer there first yourself, quite simply.
You avoid people leaving you voicemail messages if that’s what you prefer.

Secondly, one option will work on (any) iphone specifically the other will work on ANY phone on the Tesco network.
