Turkey/Syria border earthquakes

I read this earlier and found it captivating. It's currently the top story on the BBC News website. When they mention their Mum for the first time :(

As with a lot of things, puts things into perspective.

Donated a few quid today, just hope it actually goes to doing some good and helping all these poor people - such devastating and sad scenes on the news

There’s going to be some major fallout from this. I’ve got Roger Musson’s (British Geological Survey) book. He said that if we don’t pull our socks up and a quake hits one of the world’s big cities that lies on a fault then we’re going to lose a million people. Istanbul, which has a metro area population of over 15m, is one of those at risk cities. And from what we’ve seen of the poor implementation of Turkey’s building codes, the residents should be worried.

Breaking: Man rescued alive this morning in Turkey.

Amazing 😍

Of course they did nothing. That would have meant spending money as opposed to raking it in via nice little bungs and sweeteners.

The people were just an afterthought.
