i have a Indesit idc85 tumble dryer, and i am getting no hot air flow through, it is a condenser dryer. and also the empty water light doesn't seem to be switching off either even though the water is cleared

anyone?

Does it have a lint filter that needs clearing

no lint filter in this model

Try cleaning any crap out of it/ a bit of contact cleaner on any sensors would be the first thing I'd do.

Where are the sensors? Can't seem to find em

Wouldn't have a clue, only worked on 2-3 tumble driers and it was guesswork. "Ahh thats probably a sensor is that, bit of contact cleaner"

I am by no means a professional just a bloke who occasionally fixes things for family/ friends.

okay lint filter is cleaned doh
this model has no sensors, what else could i possibly check?

When did you last clean the condensor unit?

Yesterday

They are a truly awful tumble dryer I'm afraid!

The most likely cause of your problem is the 2 x thermostats mounted above the heating element, if you have a multimeter they should both be closed circuit when cold. If either are open circuit then replace, they come as a pair at around £15.00. More than likely failed due to not cleaning the filter!!
