TU8500 Subtitles vs Voice conflict

Hi all,

Ive just set up a TU8500 for my relatives who are in their 70s.

I tried to help over the phone but there’s nothing like being there in person, so I may be missing a trick, but it looked to me like I’d set Voice Support to OFF but then every time they try and switch on Subtitles it’s like it automatically switches voice support back on.

They (and I) would like to know if they can turn on subtitles on this set without triggering the voice assistant.

Hopefully someone can help.

To answer my own question, if you use the shortcut to the Accessibility menu the voice support automatically engages.

However, if you use the longcut via Settings you can switch on/off subtitles without the annoying voice.
