Hi guys, Iam having trouble deciding which tv is best for me.
I currently own a 65inch LG C9 which i love. We also had a dedicated movie room with a 100' projected image. The projected image is obviously nowhere near the quality you get from a tv but apart from its crap black levels it was quiet impressive.
However we have just moved house now and no longer have the luxury of having a dedicated movie room so the projector is not really an option and the 65inch OLED is just too small for us for movie watching so we want to buy a new tv. Ideally a 82/85inch but 75inch minimum.
Budget is around 3000 euro and for that my options seem to be the Samsung Q80T or the Sony XH9505 (both 75 inches) or the XH8096 (85inch)
We do not watch broadcast tv. Mostly Netflix, Prime, Disney+ and streaming 1080p / 4k movies. As its gonna become the main tv however then its also gonna be used for gaming a bit too. I would say maybe 70% movie watching and 30% Gaming
What would you guys recommend? Iam torn because i dont expect any of these sets to out perform the LG C9 in picture quality yet each one of these sets is more expensive! (granted they are 10 inches bigger or 20inches in the case of the XH8096)
I have high standards with regards picture quality so i want a tv thats going to ultimately look fantastic. Everything else is secondary! If it can look great watching movies and perform smoothly when gaming then thats all that matters i think!
Viewing angles are not important as we sit right opposite/in front of the tv (about 10-12feet away)
In terms of pricing the 75inch Q80T is 2,900 and the XH9505 is the same price where as the 85inch XH8096 is 2,650
Of course the XH8096 isnt as superior as the other two but it is the cheapest and gets me an 85inch rather then 75 inch. Would it be worth it or is the picture quality difference too big between them to recommend it??
