What a farce, America showing the world that their president is no better than the tin pot leaders around the world who thumb their noses at justice.
Not really as it does not matter the POTUS or what the administration may or may not of done . It's plain to see the constitution all Americans put so much faith in and ultimatly worship is a very thin veneer that no longer works for the people .

The Impeachment was a political partisan move and the equitall will be a republican partisan response.

As such any future POTUS is Teflon, as we're past ones .

This farce of a trial makes my heart sink and weep for America. The prosecution are not allowed to request evidence and witnesses and all of them have taken an oath of impartiality in their consideration of the evidence but will likely vote on partisan lines. Unless the republicans have a massive crisis of conscience it's safe to bet Trump will be acquitted. Then Trump's free to do whatever he wants as he'll feel immune from prosecution. The only sensible option then left to remove him is for the democrats to abandon the government and return to their constituencies and organise peaceful resistance. Do a Ghandi basically. They certainly can't go for an armed resistance. It's the republicans and their supporters who are the majority of the gun lovers.

Or Dems could just use the democratic process at the 2020 election and remove Trump that way . But I doubt very much they will pick a candidate good enough for that .

If Big D beats this bogus impeachment (which he will) he will come out more powerful then ever.

Take into account the main players for the Demoncrats are Socialist Sanders, Communist AOC, and Fake Native Warren

I can safely say TRUMP 2020

Trump will be judged by the people in November - if they dont like what they see they will vote in the other guy.

As far as calling witnesses for the current circus - well here is what Adam Schiff said when it was suggested that Hunter Biden should be called to give evidence on any corruption "it would not be appropriate" :rotfl:

Yup as I stated earlier Dems have an opportunity in November to get rid .

Also agree with second point as no witnesses , witness testomy or documentation should be withheld from either side in this trial .

Hunter Biden isn't on trial. Even if he is guilty, that doesn't excuse what Trump did, so it isn't relevant. Trump's conduct can never be justified for any reason. He either did it, or he didn't. Why he did it doesn't matter. People get convicted all the time for murder without establishing motive.

He DID do it, he admitted doing it, the evidence shows he did it, the witnesses heard him do it, and there is no evidence his lawyers can present to say otherwise, so the only options they have is to conflate his guilt with Biden's to create public confusion or give the public a reason to justify away Trump illegal act.

End of the day it does not matter what he did as the Senate do not care a hoot . And I find it rather odd that said Senate votes on what can be submitted and what can not .

Well as some (all?) members of the Senate had made up their minds before this 'trial' even got underway do they really need to waste any more time on it?

After all there is an election to win in November.

Exactly what Statute did Trump break?
