Trouble getting aduio from Laptop to TV

Hi all brought a DVI > HDMI lead and a 3.5mm jack to white/red phono lead.

Contected it to my Tv im getting picutre but no sound, 3.5mm jack is running from head phone socket to TV i have tryed:

AVS Audio in
YPbPr Audio in
Audio out,

But still cant get sound what am i doing wrong? Cheers jim

Using the wrong audio in on the TV...at a guess, if you posted make/model of the TV you may get more specific help, also have a search on the LCD and LED LCD TVs forum, this may have already been discussed.

ITs a Hannspree Xv 32inch 1080p/1080i LCD.

try using a different HDMI socket - if there are 4 use the 4th one, sometimes the seperate audio inputs only work with certain HDMI inputs.
