Hi – can someone help with some (hopefully) straightforward queries about connecting up my TV.
I have just taken delivery of my new Panasonic TX-58DX802 and when I simply connect the aerial directly into the TV, I get a nice picture on the TV tuner.
However, I want incorporate my Humax HDR Fox-T2 freeview box, so I have plugged the aerial lead into the “Aerial in” socket on the Humax, and passed a lead from the “Aerial Out” socket of the Humax into the “Aerial In” on the TV. I have an HDMI lead passing from the Humax to my amp, and from amp to TV.
Now :
· I can watch freeview via the Humax box, no problem.
· However, when I try to watch the TV tuner, it says “No Signal” (whether the Humax is On or Off, so I don’t think it is an RF loopthrough issue)
I used the Humax in a similar way with my old TV and it worked fine / I haven’t changed any settings. I have checked the lead from the Humax box “Aerial Out” to the TV aerial “In” and it looks fine (no obvious loose connection).
What could I be doing wrong ?
