Trojan virus, adobe flash player

Hi, hope someone can help:lease:!!!!
I recently picked up a Trojan Zbot virus on my pc which particularly seems to have affected adobe flash player. Symntec anti-virus quarantined it, so i downloaded malewarebytes anti-malware (on recommendation), which found it and destroyed it. I also deleted all adobe programmes from my system and thought i would just be able to reinstall them from their website, but each time i try the download it gets blocked by internet explorer.
It says there is a malicious add-on or the website has a problem and closes it down.
All scans now show my pc to be clean.

Any ideas!!!!!

Cheers

The Adobe is known to have been compromised in the past across FF and IE and keeping ahead by installing the latest version is essential.

Where Firefox comes in is in the new version 3.6. The update plug-ins button now loads the "Plugin Check" web page and advises if an update is necessary. I single click will start the update process.

Thanks guys for your input .

Downloaded the latest vers. of firefox, then the Adobe flash player (after allowing downloads from that site in the toolbar) and now it all seems to be running as normal.

Fingers crossed!!!

I know this is just by-passing the problem but i'm not a big pc user and a quick fix suits me (hopefully).

Thanks again
