Trigger Cable

Just found out the projector screen Ive got has a 12v Trigger socket so im going to put a 12v trigger cable behind the ceiling while I can.

Ive done a search and as far as I can tell a 12v trigger cable is basically a 3.5mm headphone cable. Can someone please confirm this and let me know if the following cable will do the job?

No reply? ordered one for £3 so fingers crossed its all good

Should be fine. Any old cable should do, it carries very low current DC.

There seems to be no standard as to the type of connector used for trigger signals. My amp has 3.5mm jacks, my screen has a choc-block connector, my PJ has a concentric mains adaptor style connector.

You may have to chop the end off the cable and fit another connector for the PJ (or use an adaptor).
