I love anything to do with the Bermuda Triangle, and there's a decided lack of film content and flicks on the subject, so this can't come soon enough for me.

The trailer looks pretty wicked, but the one in the first post has been removed, so I found this one:

Promo Trailer for Chris Smith's Triangle- ShockTillYouDrop.com

    New Trailer

Almost the same as the first trailer, which at the time earlier this year was not officially released.

It is opening film at Frightfest next month.

This was the opening film at this years Frightfest and also the World Premiere, with the director Christopher Smith and actress Melissa George in attendance.

I don't really want to say too much about this so as not to spoil it for you. I thought it was a great film with some interesting scenes and it gives you something to think about after it's over. Melissa George is great in it, recommended :smashin:

I agree with you. Ghost ship was pretty cool even though that wasn't set in the bermuda triangle it had a triangle feel to it :D Looking forward to this one.

The trailer for this does give off a heavy Ghost Ship vibe, which isn't a bad thing as there are a lot of things I liked about Ghost Ship. I'll probably try and check this out if it's on at my local Odeon this Friday.

    Just come back from this!

Pretty good film, BUT, just be prepared to come out feeling someone has lifted the top of your head off, whisked up your brain, and put the top back on!

Cannot go into it too much without spoiling it, but its good! A brain 'flocker' but good!

    Saw it today too 7.8/10

Yes mind twisting and some violence, and it's been hell off a day for Melissa George. It was interesting, not extremely gripping as i had hoped, but a good genre film, very watchable. And i enjoyed the ending.

    Spoiler >>
If there was so many duplicate dead bodies off that woman outside, why were there not so off the other dead crew members?
    <<

The other film i have seen like this, but different approach but better is...
the spanish film - ( Timecrimes, click here > to see the thread), worth seeking out. Which btw is getting an american remake in 2011.

Went to see this last night, the word "disappointment" doesn't even come close to describing the feeling I left with.

Some kind of explanation of why would have been nice...

Double bills are great but not many UK cinemas have late shows unfortunately. Films and horror movies especially, are so much better at 11pm rather than 8pm !

Got this today. It's probably going to be one of those films that gets a small status in the history of horror movies like Final Destination, and The Cube. I give it 4 Stars.

Watched this tonight and rather enjoyed it. Christopher Smith is becoming a more accomplished director with every film he makes. I found Creep rather ropey, Severance was an improvement but this was very well made.

The similarities to the recent Spanish sci-fi/horror film Trimecrimes are rather striking, though apparently they were developed at the same time. The other film apart from Timecrimes this reminded my of is The Machinist:

    Spoilers:

In both films the lead experiences moments of deja vu and suffers some sort punishment in relation to a car accident where a child gets killed.

Triangle appears to be based on the Sisyphus myth. The ship is called the Aeolus. Aeolus was the father of Sisyphus whose punishment was to repeat the same cumbersome task over and over (rolling a large rock up a hill which would always roll down again).

What we see is merely a small section of a never ending loop that began some time before. Jess may or may not be dead, but she does undergo some sort of supernatural punishment in a type of purgatory, possibly for being a bad mother. She mentions that her autistic son needs for things to stay the same and her punishment is for things always to stay the same. When the loop starts over, she forgets that everything keeps repeating itself. When she throws the dead seagull from the cliff, we see many seagulls there, so the accident has been repeating several times already.

The cab driver who picks her up after the accident and seems unconcerned by the death of her child, knows her already. He is the only one aware of the time loop. He could be Charon, the ferryman of the dead in Greek mythology. If you don't pay Charon, you have to wander the shore on the other side of Hades for eternity and you never get to the afterlife. Jess promises to pay the cab driver when she gets to the harbour and then she never comes back and so the loop begins again. Maybe the way to break the cycle would be to for her to pay the ferryman/cab driver.
