This includes Trials Evolution and the original Trials HD game in one package, along with all of the tracks (over 120) and features found in the 360 versions. No release date or price has been announced as yet.

Is this like those rag-doll physics flash games or is it much better than that?

Much better. Whilst the basic idea is very straightforward (move from left to right whilst negotiating obstacles until you get to the finish) there's a lot more depth to the handling and physics than any flash game. Visually it's far more polished too.

As the courses get more difficult you really need to judge your angles and speed very precisely - some of the slopes / obstacles you need to get your bike up become extremely tough later on and can take numerous attempts. This is a game that rewards skillful play.

There are a load of mini games too (I'm not a fan) and an editor with which you can construct your own tracks or even basic games.

The one thing I slightly disliked with Trials Evo was that some of the later courses dragded on and on (10-15 mins plus) even when you're riding fairly well. Great game though and some of the jumps are pretty spectacular.....I'd imagine in 3D they'd be quite stomach churning

Trials Evolution is my game of the year so far. Trials HD was my game of the year when it came out. I've kind of rinsed both of them on the 360 so I probably won't buy them again at full price though.

I rather suspect I'm kidding myself, there.

Trials HD and Evolution are incredible games. I agree with the above post they are GOTY contenders for me as eat up hours with their addictive as hell one more go nature and the challenge of beating friends times, medal times, PB's etc is unrivalled. Not to mention the inclusion of MP action in Evo is brilliant, as well as track central for endless user created tracks.

Played them loads on 360 so won't buy full price but if a bargain in a future sale will grab them so i can have some covert Trials action while on the PC of an evening...

That feature is still in there for the PC version. I don't know if it will work cross-platform though.

Red Lynx pick all their best ones anyway and have them in a sub option within that section, so i'm sure they will be able to make them compatible with PC, if not by default.... The 360 is little more than a PC anyway so doubt it would be difficult.

Hope so as there are some amazing user created ones. The Avatar themed one was particularly brilliant.

So looking forward to getting this on the PC; it's the only thing I really use my consolebox for any more. Also, I'm really curious to see what effect running the Trials HD levels in the Trials Evo engine has - the handling is subtly different, and I'm curious as to whether that will make the two Extreme tracks I could never manage any easier. Or more difficult - Evo is a lot harder on minor grazes to the back and head.

Hopefully it's nice and pin sharp for PC with some lovely textures, had lots of fun playing it on 360.

Love the trailer.... I have put in loads of hours on the Xbox on HD and Evo, and less so on the expansions, but may have to get on the PC also as often easier to get tiome on the PC to play, and tyhis is the perfect game to waste away some early evening hours....

Wish I could sell my xbox arcade games so I could then buy them on PC :( They are the only reason I still have my xbox now, and Rock Band.

You can buy this now with 20% off at GMG for £12.80. Its Uplay only though. You can buy it on Steam but there is no Steam achievements etc, its the same as Far Cry 3 and takes you straight to Uplay . Boo.

However if you buy it now you get on the beta and can play the beta until release on 21st March.

Only just noticed this yesterday, as it was on the front page of Steam. So immediately bought it. Which was my first mistake - going direct to UPlay gets you more extra outfits and so on, and there's nothing to be gained by it being bought through Steam. Oh well.

The game's already excellent, though I noticed that the leaderboards and multi-player are having the same teething troubles that the 360 game had on launch. Other than that, the beta seems pretty ready for prime-time to me. Maybe the framerate could do with a bit of a polish, since I'm dropping frames on a GTX560 and that never normally happens on XBox 360 ports.

Anyway, once I remember my own I'll have to get some friends list people added on UPlay for this.

It comes to something when I spent the most money I have on any one game in at least a year, basically so I've got a new set of leaderboards to play on.

That's how painfully addictive this thing is.

This game is lethal if you're tired and you really should have gone to bed about 3 hours ago.

"Right, just ONE more go and that's IT!"

Right, turns out I'm the incredibly imaginative iainl7 if you want to fire me a uPlay friend thing.

Anyone else notice weird things with the YouTube upload? I made a quick test one just now, and it seems to play back in slow-mo:

Performance issues and U-Play leaderboards means I probably wont pick it up for a while.

I'll definitely be getting this at some point, not just yet. Too much in my Steam library for starters! When's the next sale?

The framerate drops are happening for me, too. It seems the game's not too well optimised right now. It's also happening for just about any setup in the same way, so it does feel more buggy than anything. Setting the display to the 1280x720 resolution that the 360 version ran at and removing vsync cures most of it for now, however.

Ping me a uPlay friend request if you want on iainl7.

I bought this a couple of weeks back but both graphically and gameplay wise it was lacking. Seems it wasn't autoupdating so I was on build v1.00. Managed to force an update to v1.02 yesterday by running as an administrator and its much better now, although still some slight stutter despite running at a solid 60fps.

I'll send you one later if that's okay? Think I'm jellofund53 on uplay.

Having played both games on 360 I'm not sure how much time I'll put in and am mainly playing for medals rathern than times at the mo' but it'd still be good to have some names on my friends leaderboard :)

Thanks - friend away, the more the merrier. At the moment I'm just filling out medals of some kind on everything rather than pushing the limits of times, too - there's just so much stuff to do.
