Easiest pre-order in a long time, looking forward to having a look at this.

I can't believe the lack of excitement for this, I guess the recent releases have been stealing it.

Here's what David from Fidelity in Motion has to say about this transfer:
The restoration work was done at Silver Salt in London - same team that worked on projects like Pitch Black, The Thing, Don't Look Now, Angelheart, Ladykillers etc. It looks beautiful, visibly higher res than would be possible at 1080p. I imagine Universal did the scan then shipped the data off to Silver Salt for grading and restoration. Then onto us for mastering to disc.

Can't wait!
