After extensive searching I've found a few threads with info on this but with no definitive answer to the following :

Is it ok for me to transport around the 32PD3000 that I am soon going to be investing in?

It would be upright in the back of my pug [306] estate next to my wheelchair with all sorts of pillows to the side and underneath it.

Presumably they are built well enough to withstand the odd journey?

By odd journey, I mean that it will be delivered to my home, then driven to Uni, then back and forth maybe twice, before coming to rest at home when I finish my degree in the summer.

    Thanks for any feedback.

SHould be fine as long as you keep it upright. Try and tie it down with some soft fabric also.

Cheers, that's what I wanted to hear.

I've also just found C&M doing the Hitachi 32PD3000 for £250 less than JL - hoping for a price match :)

If it breaks in my car can I steal your Panny, Neil? ;)

I plan to! When I finally get it. It will get added to the host of boxes I've collected over the years that get shoved into the garage and come out on special occassions :)

I transported mine in this way (in its original pack) when I purchased it. I drove carefully, particularly ive bumpy bits and arrived home safe and sound with no damage to the plasma whatsoever.
