    Hello All,

I have had a JVC DR-M1 for some time (unfortunately long enough to lose the manual, and the JVC website doesn't seem to have it to download), and have just purchased a Sony mini-DV camcorder.

I had assumed it would be relatively simple to save the recordings from the camcorder to my laptop for editing via the firewire DV/out functionality on the camcorder and once edited, to then burn the finished result to DVD on the JVC DR-M1 from my PC direct to the recorder.

When I plug the DR-M1 into my PC via firewire, XP recognises it as an AVC product, but then tries to find drivers for it, fails to do so, and won't progress any further.

Has anyone got a DR-M1 recording from PC via firewire who could tell me where I'm going wrong or, if I need drivers, where I can find them?

    Thanks,

    Chris.
