Transferring Songs Between Ipods

I do not sync all songs and therefore have around 2000 on Ipod but only 300 in ITunes. New Ipod arriving for Christmas and short of putting all songs into ITunes not sure how to transfer the songs.

Am not keen on putting all songs in ITunes (on laptop) as I think it slows the laptop down (it has happened on 2 laptops before).

Any tips?

without using an external hard drive you would have to do bit by bit..200 songs at a time? That shouldnt slow the laptop down too much?

could you not use a mates Desktop pc?

copy files from ipod to laptop using already well documented methods (just search the forum), update itunes library on laptop, sync new ipod with laptop, delete files from laptop that you don't want

Thanks - will do. Problem am having at the moment is that I cant see my songs through ITunes 7 from the Ipod. Will try ITunes help.
