Hi - hoping someone can help me here.

My XBox is connected via optical cable to my AV amp for dd5.1.

I've been messing around with MTV Music Generator 3 and am loving the sounds i'm creating with it! :D - so how can I now transfer the music sitting on my XBox hard drive to CD or whatever?

Do I need to buy a minidisc player for example and record it onto that as my XBox plays the tracks I've created?

Any advice given appreciated.

Hi,

FTP the files to your PC and burn them to disc or whatever you need to do!!

Thanks for your reply Stace.

To clarify, I need to connect via ethernet from my PC to the XBox. How do I FTP though? What would I tell my PC to connect to? Presumably my XBox has an IP address - would I need to log in?

Thanks for your help.

What XBox software do you run???

If you use avalaunch or XBMC etc you can assign an IP. Username/Password defaults to xbox:xbox.

Using ftp software from your PC just connect to the ip address and transfer your files.

I do not know which XBox software I run. How do I find out?

Presumably there is somewhere on the XBox desktop menus where I can configure IP and set username and passwords... - I'll have a look tonight.

Cheers.

I assumed you had modded your xbox. Is that the case????

If you get stuck, try here.......
