Can i transfer ring tones from a Nokia 6100 to a PC for editing?
Any help appreciated.
How about Lgomanager ? A cable to suit the pop-up port is around £47 though
infra red, circa ten quid.
What you probably need is the infrared port on the PC so you can connect the phone (unless you have a data cable) and also a piece of software called MobiMB.
MobiMB is a phone browser for use with some of the current Nokia phones so it enables you to drag things to and from the phone so you can easily get the ringtone easily with this. Logomanager will not work with this phone as it has trouble browsing the phone.
It is made by the same people who did Logomanager and is a cracking bit of software as I use it to transfer logos, ringtones, games and pics to the phone.
Here is the link to purchase it (it costs about £16):
If you bought the 6100 new you would have had a cd rom in the box with the phone. The disc has the new Nokia data suite 5 on it, which is very good. And God knows how but it takes 35Mb up on your harddrive.
I have a Bilkin IR USB receiver but it wont work, haven't sussed it yet. Something to do with it not being Direct IR so i would very highly recommend you get the official Nokia data lead off http://www.ebay.co.uk to avoid disappointment.
Watch you dont get the data lead that you have to remove the battery and that you get the data lead that connects in the port at the bottom of the phone. In a high street store £50 but ebay for £20 - £25 sqid.
I also have a disc of compilation 6100 poly ringtones, games and pictures which your welcome to have a copy of. And If you've lost your Nokia data disc I can stick that on there too.
Hell, I can't sleep new 6 week old bump keeps waking us up
This is torture! Now ill have to go to work and find a warm cupboard to sleep in
